Meet the Founder

JP Zhang
JP Zhang (also known as John in China) brings 16 years of hands-on SEO experience to the industry. After leading SEO and content marketing for tech companies in the US and China, he spent a decade scaling a successful affiliate website portfolio and educating the Chinese market on actionable Google SEO strategies through his brand, 英文SEO实战派.
In 2019, JP tested the "East Meets West" concept by hosting a 300-person SEO event in Shenzhen featuring international experts like Aleyda Solis. Following a global pause, the conference officially returned in 2025 with a major shift in scale: four days, 500 attendees, and a full English track. With 35% of the attendees flying in from the West, JP saw his concept validated as Western SEO entrepreneurs sat directly beside their East Asian peers to connect, collaborate, and build real partnerships.
A serial SEO entrepreneur, JP's work extends beyond the Shenzhen SEO Conference. He also runs SEO Connector, a service matching Chinese companies with vetted overseas marketing partners, and SEO Action School, a dedicated community for Chinese SEO professionals and growth marketers. JP holds dual bachelor's degrees from China and dual master's degrees from the United States.
